  • There is no definite answer to this. It truly depends on each individual person, what they sought therapy for and the depth and complexity of their struggles, their readiness to tackle on these issues in their life, the time that they have on their hands, their finances, and their personal preferences for who it is that they are seeking help from. Being in therapy has no timeline because our healing journeys and the improvements that we try to make in our life take time, but they are definitely worth the time that we invest in ourselves!

  • The answer to this question is unique and based on the individual, family, or couple and the needs they present or changes they want to make. One of the things you may notice is a difference in how you process interactions with not only yourself, but others. When there is a deeper understanding of your behaviors and the tools/techniques that you are learning in therapy are put to use, there is indication of advancement in your therapeutic journey.

  • Therapy is a space to address the mental and emotional pieces that have inhibited us from living the life that we want to live. Through therapy, we learn about ourselves, address our past, present, and future, and gain tools and techniques to live a fulfilled and desired life.

Coaching consists of more calculated steps to help reach your goals without the dive into the mental and emotional spaces.

One thing to consider is that therapy can incorporate coaching aspects and techniques, but coaching is NOT therapy.

  • At this time, ALO Counseling does not take insurance.

ALO focuses on providing support tailored to each client’s personal needs and goals. Unfortunately, insurance can hinder that process by placing restraints and specific demands on care.

Upon request, we can provide you with a receipt for services that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. To learn more about your coverage benefits, call your insurance provider and ask them about your out-of-network behavioral/mental health deductible.
